Areté’s HydroSim, a real-time subsea sensor simulator designed for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), was recently featured in a Navy STP (SBIR/STTR Transition Program) tech talk.
HydroSim runs in two modes, Automated for training AI/ML algorithms and Interactive, providing a real-time synthetic subsea video and sonar views to help train operators.
HydroSim Automated mode helps advances AI/ML algorithm development and training by providing synthetic data, reducing or eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming data collections.
HydroSim Interactive mode provides a realistic and dynamic training environment for operators of ROVs, enhancing their skills and responsiveness in subsea scenarios. It provides a wide range of environmental settings, from water clarity and currents to thruster controls and fish, enabling operator training in various scenarios.
